I have search for "how to make realistic flames", and I found lots of them, but they are quite unnatural, and some of them use clouds to create flames.... And that's not Healthy, as we all knew using clouds will give you a random pattern and we don't want that, specially for those who wants to achieve a certain flow. and thats one reason why we need to learn how to make flames with full control And burning effects.
Burning effects is in a form of different types it depends on the object, it might be a metal, a flesh, woods or plastics. And for this tutorial I would be discussing how to make a realistic burning effect on woods.
There are plenty of techniques for doing masking, some uses channels, color range, pen tool and lot of times for those who has a tablet they just paint it with their brush tool.
For me I use free hand masking for those edges who needs additional details, I have here a perfect example of a photo which I bet you won't use your favorite pen tool or your free hand to pick the capsule.
You can find the high resolution of this source in here, a forum on photoshoptalent.com
In this tutorial, I?m going to show you how to create a realistic crumpled effects on photoshop, this is helpful for those classic web designer who uses papers as their background image on their projects ^^. There are many of ways to create such effect on photoshop, but in this tutorial I?m going to show you the easiest way to make such effects.
If only cleaners are considered a profession then I guess I could be one of them ^^. But too bad it was a voluntary job which means you gain nothing from doing the job, but for sure there are lots of photoshop newbies who wanted to learn how to clean a manga in order to contribute some of their free time. On this tutorial I will share my simple technique on pulling the artwork out from those manga scans to be able to re-use them for scanlations .
This is a Simple widget which enables the user to select the color for their chosen car, if you got in here without reading my previews articles on color manipulation and bitmap conversion, I recommend you read them first.
Our goal in here is to re-create the concept which we created on my previews article about color manipulation, and import a class called color transform to make a dynamic color selection, we will be using the layer mask that we created on my bitmap conversion tutorial and the same Toyota Aygo as our model.
On this tutorial I'm going to show how to use vector magic and convert your layer mask into a vector image, I'm using vector magic since beta way back 2007 that was the time which they are still open for unlimited online bitmap conversion, it is one of the 'best bitmap to vector' software, this is useful for designer who still does'nt know how to use illustrator.
There are always war between creating a logo on photoshop and illustrator, I'm one of those who agrees that creating logos on a vector base software such as illustrator is highly recommended but I still don't know how too use illustrator that much, so I stick with vector magic to convert my bitmap logos.
on this tutorial I'm going to show you how to change and manipulate the color of your chosen vehicle, I will also carry this on to the next level by importing the whole concept to create Flash widget, I will also discuss how to convert your mask into a vector graphic using vector magic.
Those three different topics are also in three different subject matters so I decided to break them into 3 separate articles.
Preloaders are one of the most significant element that a flash designer should always consider; approx. 10% of people leave your site when it takes more than 10secs to load, And 70% of people step away on flash sites when they saw an ugly preloaders, preloaders reflects the entire site, that's one of the main reason why we should make our preloader looks simple and interesting.
On this tutorial I'm going to show you how to create a simple yet amazing way to add frames on your photos, you can use feathers, marble, flowers ,leaves and the like, just be sure it fits the ambience so it won't look weird.
As for this tutorial we will be using ?Grass' as our frame and Wedding as our theme, for sure flower suits our theme so make sure to have one ready.
First, download our grass which I found on flickr, This was the best grass texture I found on internet considering it was a free to use under CC license.
Then grab a nice wedding photo, I also found one on flickr which by chance fits the theme perfectly.

We used to see this icon on a lot of DVD's and CD's, there is a T for teens, E for everyone, M for mature and A for adults, it was the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) content rating icons, this icon was so simple yet where ever you paste it what ever the background color was, It magically fits any theme.
Ok on this tutorial we are going back to basic, yep this is totally a basic tutorial on how to add a soft focus and bring you a rich color improvements, it was used often on weddings and using this effect alone can make all your photos look great, your client will surely be amaze as long as your client didn't saw what have you done. (lol)
After I decided not to post anything because of sluggish server struggling for almost 2 weeks I finally came back, and now I'm going to teach on how to convert a green landscape into a semi winter, we don't have winter season here so I don't really know how it looks like but I guess this is more like it so bring out some photos and we are going to transform those into winter landscape.
I use a photo I found on flickr under CC license by Other Neither.
If you are into graphic and web design I'm sure you've bumped into
something like Raster and Vector images, photograph are example of Raster
images, they are also known as bitmap or Jpegs, the original animated
cartoon on it's raw file are actually a vector base but when they are
converted into a movie file they became raster images.
When your client can't provide a vector base logo or even a high resolution raster base format everything seems to be delayed, sometimes they have it hand drawn on a paper and you are asked to recreate it digitally, and its a big time lag. (unless it was really part of the job.)
A friend of mine ask me a favor to transform his work into something like a gold medal, it was 1 o'clock AM and I'm a little sleepy and since I'm only waiting for my download completion I decided to kill some time.
